These pages are intended to provide an information forum for members of the Fourteen Island Lake community about the provision of road maintenance and garbage disposal.

FINFLA

FINFLA is the road association setup to maintain Meredith Lane.

FINFLA lanes and road allowances are owned by the Township but are classified as unadopted roads, which means they are not maintained by the Township. Most property owners, who have lots off of Meredith Lane or its feeder lanes, have a joint responsibility, outlined in their property deeds, to contribute to the upkeep of Meredith Lane.

However, all property holders who use Meredith Lane, permanent and seasonal, have an interest in contributing to the general maintenance fund, as everyone benefits from efforts to make the road safer, with good access for emergency vehicles.

Other feeder lane associations

In addition to the upkeep of Meredith Lane, property holders on each feeder lane have separate, joint funding arrangements with others living on their lane for maintaining their road.

We hope that the information and updates provided on this site will be of interest to permanent and seasonal FINFLA residents.
